Iveta Benesova and Barbora Zahlavova Strycov didn't get a chance to play in their first final at the 18th Open GDF SUEZ. The two Czech players won following the withdrawal of Cara Black and Liezel Huber. Disappointed to not play, they hope to come back next year.

Iveta, Barbora, isn't a little disappointing for you to win this final without even playing?
Barbora: Sure, we are sad to have not played, but that's the way things go. We just hope that Cara gets better soon.
Iveta : This is the first time I've won a trophy this way. It's not very pleasant to win without playing, but Cara's health is the most important thing today, so too bad for the match.

In any case, it would have been a very tough match against Black and Huber. How did you prepare?
Iveta : We played a few times against them and each time the match was really close and really challenging. We were impatient to play against them. We hope that next time we will be able to play against Cara and Liezel and try and win.

How has your week been here at the Open GDF SUEZ?
Barbora : It was a good week for us. We really love Paris and can't wait for 2011 to come back and do it again.
