Agnes Szavay of Hungary shared her satisfaction with us after qualifying against Petra Martic for the quarterfinal of a tournament that has always been special for her.

You're back in this tournament after a break. How did you manage to stay focused?
Well, I guess I wasn't that focused since I didn't do too well in the second set. But eventually I could manage it in a good way and put a positive end to that match. I'm happy about it.

What did you do during those few days without having to play here?
I had two days off yes, but thought it was important to keep my momentum. So of course we practiced as usual, watched matches here and we also took walks in the city, nothing really special, I didn't want to get too tired.

Your ranking is much higher than your opponent's. Do you think it showed on court today?
Yes, maybe at the beginning, I don't know, she seemed to be a little nervous. But she played a really great game in the second set and she definitely gave me a hard time. So I guess I can say we gave people a pretty good match in the second set.
