Newcomer to the OPEN GDF SUEZ team and tournament co-director Amélie Mauresmo is organizing a charity event at Coubertin for the Curie Institute on Monday, Feburary 7.

Amélie Mauresmo is now co-directing the event she won three times: the OPEN GDF SUEZ. For the 19th edition of the tournament, she launched a charity event scheduled for Monday, Februrary 7. Dubbed 'Amélie's Night,' the event will raise money for the Curie Institute. 'It's an organization I've cared about deeply for years,' says the former player and Curie Institute patron since 2005.

The day's matches will finish at 6:30 p.m., making way for former players and celebrities to take to the courts. At 7:00, six doubles teams comprised of one former tennis champion and one celebrity will be divided into two groups. The best duo from each group will make the final. On the lineup are players Yannick Noah, Guy Forget, Henri Leconte, Fabrice Santoro, Amélie Mauresmo and artists Kad Merad, Michel Boujenah, Michèle Laroque and Bob Sinclair. As if those names weren't enough to thrill fans at Coubertin Stadium, more stars are expected to be added to the list.

'We'll all be wearing microphones and doing a little teasing,' said Amélie Mauresmo. After the matches, a light dinner will be held at the GDF SUEZ Village with all the participants. The famous DJ Bob Sinclar might even provide a little turntable action…
